Malcom Wave & Selective Soldering

Malcom Wave DS-10S Dip Tester

A high-speed laser is used in laser-guided selective wave welding for this purpose. The position of the weld head is pre-aligned before the PCB is driven into the work piece. After welding, it's important to apply some heat in the direction of solder flux. Compared to laser-guided wave soldering, selective wave soldering only applies to the low-temperature flux to the outer portion of the PCB.
