Features
The Innova series Liquid-Liquid Porometer (DLLP) is a type of Capillary Flow Porometer which uses a liquid to extrude the liquid from the pores (Please see technical article “Testing Method of Capillary Flow Porometery” for details on testing method of Capillary Flow Porometery). Depending on the different characteristics of interfacial tension between one liquid and a different liquid, the required pressure to measure the pore size is also different. For this method, the required pressure in measuring a 10nm pore size is less than 100 psi.
Therefore, this method is suitable for applications in hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes, and the true pore size and distribution can be obtained quickly. Internal and external pressures can be adopted for testing hollow fiber membranes.
