Gas Permeability tester involves measurement of flow rate of a fluid across a sample and the pressure drop across it in order to compute permeability using Darcy’s law. Gas flow rates and pressure drops are also used to compute many other useful characteristics of porous media. Measurement of flow rates of different gases can also permit pore size measurement. Permeability of gases, vapors, and liquids is important for many applications because flow rates are measures of the rates of industrial processes.
